GE AT868-1-1-1-0 is a single-channel transit-time ultrasonic flow transmitter developed by Panametrics. It applies to full-pipe liquid flow measurement and supports clamp-on transducers. Widely used as maintenance spare part in water treatment plants, thermal power and petrochemical flow monitoring systems.
Description
GE AT868-1-1-1-0 belongs to the GE Panametrics AquaTrans AT868 series ultrasonic liquid flow transmitter, adopting patented Correlation Transit-Time measurement principle. It calculates fluid velocity, volumetric flow rate and flow direction by measuring the time difference of ultrasonic signals traveling upstream and downstream.
This configuration is single-channel design, suitable for independent pipeline flow monitoring. It can be matched with non-intrusive clamp-on ultrasonic transducers. Clamp-on installation requires no pipeline cutting, no production shutdown and generates no pressure loss, which is ideal for pipeline renovation projects.
Equipped with backlit LCD display and built-in keypad, technicians can complete on-site parameter configuration, real-time flow data viewing, forward/reverse totalizer management and built-in signal fault diagnosis. It provides standard 4–20mA analog output and pulse/frequency output for seamless data transmission to PLC, DCS and upper monitoring systems.
The all-digital circuit has no moving parts and reduces long-term maintenance workload. The aluminum enclosure reaches NEMA 4X / IP66 protection grade, supporting indoor and outdoor wall-mounted installation. Comprehensive self-diagnosis function continuously monitors ultrasonic signal strength and transducer connection status, helping maintenance staff quickly locate field faults. It is applicable to acoustically conductive liquids such as raw water, circulating cooling water and clean wastewater.
This legacy flow transmitter model has been discontinued by the original manufacturer. Available inventory is mainly used for equipment overhaul, on-site replacement and spare backup of existing flow measurement systems in municipal water supply, wastewater treatment, thermal power, petrochemical and industrial circulating water projects. Original surplus stock and fully tested refurbished units can be supplied for field maintenance.
Before installation, confirm pipe material, pipe diameter, liquid medium and matched transducer specifications. Ensure good coupling between transducer and outer pipe surface; avoid sharp bending and excessive tension of signal cables. Regular inspection of coupling condition and cable integrity ensures stable measuring performance. For new projects, the latest generation Panametrics ultrasonic flow instruments are recommended as upgraded alternatives.
