GE T14-18-10-STD-HT-TI is a high-temperature single element ultrasonic contact probe for NDT thickness testing. Compatible with GE 25DL, 35DL series thickness gauges, widely used as spare part for high-temperature pipeline, boiler and pressure vessel corrosion inspection.

Description

GE T14-18-10-STD-HT-TI belongs to GE Panametrics T14 series industrial ultrasonic transducer. The HT-TI configuration is optimized for high-temperature surface measurement, designed to perform wall thickness detection on hot metal components without waiting for equipment full cooling.
This probe adopts special high-temperature resistant piezoelectric element and delay line structure. It can temporarily contact hot workpiece surfaces, effectively preventing transducer damage caused by high temperature conduction. The standard design supports single-sided ultrasonic thickness measurement on carbon steel, stainless steel and various alloy materials, commonly applied for boiler tubes, high-temperature process pipelines, heat exchangers and pressure vessel corrosion monitoring.
It perfectly matches GE legacy portable thickness gauges including 25DL, 25DL-RR, 35DL and other Panametrics ultrasonic testing instruments. Operators complete calibration using reference test blocks before inspection to guarantee measuring accuracy. The robust metal housing resists mechanical impact during field inspection; matched high-temperature coupling agent is required for stable echo signal transmission.
Typical working scenarios cover thermal power plant boiler inspection, petrochemical high-temperature pipeline periodic corrosion survey, refinery heating equipment thickness monitoring. By detecting residual wall thickness, maintenance teams can assess corrosion rate and arrange overhaul plans in advance to avoid leakage risks.
This legacy NDT transducer has been discontinued by the original manufacturer. Available inventory mainly serves equipment overhaul, probe replacement and spare backup of existing non-destructive testing teams. Original surplus stock and fully tested refurbished probes can be supplied for on-site maintenance projects.
During field testing, strictly control single continuous contact duration to avoid overheating damage to internal components. Prevent sharp bending and heavy pulling of transducer cable. After high-temperature measurement, place the probe in natural cooling environment rather than rapid forced cooling. For new procurement projects, updated generation high-temperature ultrasonic transducer solutions are recommended as alternatives.
