GE MTS5-351-10-S is an intelligent digital motor protection relay. It delivers full monitoring and multi-condition fault protection for low voltage motors, widely used as maintenance spare part in power, petrochemical and water treatment industries.

Description

GE MTS5-351-10-S belongs to GE Multilin MTS5 series motor protection relay, designed for three-phase low voltage asynchronous motors inside motor control centers and industrial automation systems.
The unit integrates measurement, control and comprehensive protection functions. It supports overload, locked rotor, phase loss, phase unbalance, short circuit and ground fault protection. Users can configure adaptive protection curves according to motor rated parameters to effectively avoid motor damage under abnormal operation. The relay continuously acquires three-phase electrical parameters and records fault events for post-failure analysis.
With local display and operating buttons, technicians can check real-time running data, fault history and adjust settings on site. Multiple digital inputs and programmable relay outputs support interlock with contactors and field devices. The communication function enables data uploading to PLC, DCS and SCADA platforms for remote monitoring, alarm notification and centralized equipment management.
It adopts standard panel mounting design to save cabinet space. Industrial-grade hardware features excellent anti-interference capability, suitable for workshop environments with vibration and electromagnetic interference. Reliable circuit layout ensures long-term stable continuous operation within rated specifications.
This legacy relay has been discontinued by the original manufacturer. Available inventory is mainly applied for equipment overhaul, on-site replacement and spare backup of aging motor control systems in thermal power plants, municipal water supply, chemical, oil & gas and metallurgical facilities. Original surplus stock and fully tested refurbished units can be supplied for field maintenance.
Before commissioning, parameters shall be set in accordance with motor nameplate data to prevent false tripping or protection failure. Regular inspection of wiring terminals and cabinet temperature is suggested. For new projects, upgraded GE Vernova motor protection devices are recommended as alternative solutions.
