GE C-RS-10-MB Panametrics Clamp-On Ultrasonic Flow Transducer
GE C-RS-10-MB is a high-performance clamp-on ultrasonic transducer for liquid flow measurement. Compatible with DigitalFlow series flow transmitters, widely used as maintenance spare part in power plants, petrochemical and water treatment flow monitoring systems.
Description
GE C-RS-10-MB belongs to GE Panametrics C-RS series transit-time clamp-on ultrasonic transducer. It adopts non-intrusive external clamping installation, requiring no pipeline cutting, no process shutdown and no pressure loss during installation and retrofitting. The MB configuration is equipped with explosion-proof junction box, suitable for hazardous industrial areas with flammable medium environments.
The transducer operates at 1 MHz frequency, applicable to a wide range of metal pipeline materials including carbon steel, stainless steel and copper. It matches mainstream Panametrics flow transmitters such as DF868, XMT868, AT868 and DigitalFlow DF series. Paired transducers transmit and receive ultrasonic signals through pipe wall, calculating fluid velocity and volumetric flow rate via transit-time difference principle.
Robust weatherproof transducer housing provides excellent resistance to dust, moisture and temperature fluctuation. Built-in shielding structure suppresses external electromagnetic interference and guarantees stable ultrasonic signal transmission. The matched stainless steel mounting fixture enables quick positioning and firm clamping on pipe outer surface.
It supports measurement of acoustically conductive liquids: cooling water, raw water, wastewater, crude oil, diesel, lubricating oil and low-viscosity industrial solvents. Widely deployed in thermal power circulating water systems, municipal water supply networks, petrochemical pipeline flow monitoring and industrial process liquid measurement.
This legacy transducer series has been discontinued by the original manufacturer. Available inventory mainly serves equipment overhaul, field transducer replacement and spare backup of existing ultrasonic flow metering systems. Original surplus and fully tested refurbished transducers can be supplied for on-site maintenance.
Before installation, users need to confirm pipe diameter, pipe material, liquid medium and supporting flowmeter model. Select qualified acoustic coupling grease to maintain tight contact between transducer and pipe surface. Avoid sharp bending and pulling of signal cables. Regularly inspect coupling condition and cable integrity to sustain long-term measuring stability. For new projects, select updated generation Panametrics clamp-on ultrasonic transducer solutions.
