GE O2X1 Panametrics Oxygen Transmitter
GE O2X1 is a 2-wire loop-powered oxygen transmitter adopting galvanic fuel cell sensor. It continuously detects trace oxygen content in mixed gas, widely used as maintenance spare part in power, petrochemical and air separation industries.
Description
GE O2X1 belongs to Panametrics series industrial oxygen transmitter, designed for continuous oxygen concentration monitoring in process gas pipelines. It adopts mature galvanic fuel cell measurement principle, supporting multiple user-programmable measuring ranges including ppm level and percentage oxygen: 0–10 ppm, 0–100 ppm, 0–1000 ppm, 0–10000 ppm, 0–1% and 0–25% O₂.
The instrument adopts two-wire loop-powered design with working voltage of 9–28 VDC, providing linearized 4–20mA standard analog output for seamless connection with PLC, DCS and upper monitoring systems. All configuration parameters are stored in non-volatile memory to avoid data loss after power failure.
The matching OX series galvanic oxygen sensor features stable performance, low drift and excellent anti-interference capability. It is barely affected by conventional background hydrocarbon gas and compatible with acid gas working conditions. The sealed sensor structure prevents electrolyte leakage and requires minimal routine maintenance without frequent liquid replacement.
With intrinsically safe certification, the transmitter can be applied in hazardous areas when matched with safety barriers. Compact body structure supports direct pipeline installation. The built-in microprocessor realizes digital signal processing to ensure stable measuring data output. It is widely deployed in hydrogen production stations, glass manufacturing, nitrogen production, thermal power and chemical process gas monitoring.
This classic oxygen transmitter has been discontinued by the original manufacturer. Existing available stock mainly serves equipment overhaul, field replacement and spare backup of legacy gas analysis systems. Original surplus inventory and fully tested refurbished units can be supplied for on-site maintenance.
Before commissioning, users need to select matched OX series oxygen cell and complete standard calibration. Regular inspection of air tightness of sampling pipeline is recommended. For new projects, GE oxy.IQ oxygen transmitter is recommended as upgraded alternative solution.
