GE AT868W-2-1-1-2 is Panametrics AquaTrans transit-time ultrasonic flowmeter. It measures liquid flow in full pipelines, supports clamp-on or wetted sensors, widely used in water treatment, power plants as metering spare parts.

GE AT868W-2-1-1-2 belongs to GE Panametrics AquaTrans AT868 series ultrasonic liquid flow transmitter, adopting patented Correlation Transit-Time measurement principle. By capturing the time difference of ultrasonic signals traveling upstream and downstream, the transmitter calculates fluid velocity, volumetric flow rate and flow direction accurately.
This unit is equipped with dual-channel measurement capability. Users can deploy two independent pipelines monitoring or adopt dual-path layout on a single pipeline to improve measuring precision. The transmitter features an integrated LCD display and local keypad for on-site parameter configuration, real-time flow data viewing, totalizer management and built-in fault diagnostics.
It supports multiple standard signal interfaces including 4–20mA analog output, frequency/pulse output and serial communication port. Data can be uploaded seamlessly to PLC, DCS and upper monitoring systems. The all-digital circuit design contains no moving parts, effectively lowering long-term maintenance workload. It can adapt to clean water, wastewater, cooling circulating water and other acoustically conductive liquids.
The main unit adopts rugged NEMA 4X / IP66 aluminum enclosure, suitable for indoor and outdoor installation. It is compatible with clamp-on non-intrusive transducers and insertion wetted transducers. Clamp-on installation avoids pipeline cutting and process shutdown, which is ideal for retrofitting existing production pipelines. Comprehensive self-diagnosis functions monitor signal quality and cable status, helping technicians quickly locate on-site faults.
This classic flowmeter series has been phased out by the original manufacturer. Currently available inventory mainly serves equipment overhaul, field replacement and spare backup for legacy flow measurement systems in municipal water supply, wastewater treatment, thermal power, petrochemical and industrial circulating water projects. Original surplus and fully tested refurbished units are supplied for on-site maintenance.
Before installation, engineers need to confirm pipe material, pipe size, liquid medium and matching transducer specifications. Regular inspection of transducer coupling condition and signal cable integrity is required to sustain stable measuring performance. For newly constructed projects, updated generation ultrasonic flow measurement instruments are recommended as alternative solutions.
