GE DF868-2-14-100 00-0 belongs to the DigitalFlow DF868 series multipurpose ultrasonic liquid flowmeter. Based on transit-time measurement principle, it calculates liquid flow velocity and volumetric flow rate by detecting the propagation time difference of ultrasonic signals between paired transducers. The clamp-on installation method avoids pipeline cutting, process shutdown and pressure loss, bringing great convenience for retrofitting existing production lines.
This model supports dual-channel measurement, which can realize flow detection for two independent pipelines simultaneously or improve measurement precision by dual-path layout on a single pipeline. The main unit is equipped with LCD display and physical keypad, supporting local parameter configuration, real-time flow data display, historical data storage and fault diagnosis. It reserves multiple expansion slots for optional communication boards and signal input modules.
Rich signal and communication interfaces are available, including standard 4–20mA analog output, RS232, optional RS485 Modbus RTU, Ethernet Modbus TCP, facilitating seamless data uploading to DCS, PLC and upper monitoring systems. Built-in comprehensive self-diagnosis function outputs alarm codes for abnormal signal strength, wiring faults and parameter errors, lowering the difficulty of daily inspection and troubleshooting.
The instrument adopts rugged industrial enclosure design, suitable for continuous operation under temperature fluctuation and general electromagnetic interference environment. It can measure clean liquids such as water, glycol solutions, refined oil and low-viscosity hydrocarbons, widely applied in thermal power, oil & gas, chemical engineering, municipal water supply and wastewater treatment projects.
This classic flowmeter series has been discontinued by the original manufacturer. Currently available inventory is mainly used for equipment overhaul, on-site replacement and spare backup of legacy measurement systems. Original surplus units and fully tested refurbished devices can be supplied for field maintenance. Before installation, users need to confirm pipe material, liquid medium and transducer matching parameters. Regular inspection of transducer coupling condition and signal cable integrity helps maintain long-term measuring stability. For new projects, the latest generation GE ultrasonic flow measurement equipment is recommended as alternative solution.
