GE Panametrics 35DL Handheld Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge with Built-in Data Logger
GE 35DL is a portable precision ultrasonic thickness tester equipped with integrated data logging and optional real-time A-scan waveform function. It enables single-sided thickness measurement for metals, plastics and composites, widely used for industrial corrosion inspection and component quality testing.
Description
GE Panametrics 35DL belongs to the classic Series 35 ultrasonic thickness gauge platform. The suffix DL stands for Data Logger, featuring built-in mass storage for measurement records, supporting alphanumeric location tagging and data export to PC for report archiving.
Measuring range: 0.08 mm ~ 635 mm (subject to material and transducer). Compatible with 2.25 MHz–30 MHz contact, delay-line and immersion transducers such as UTXDR series and 580P2 probes. It supports metric/inch unit switching, min/max capture, thickness upper/lower limit alarm, differential thickness reading and wall thinning rate calculation. The backlit LCD can display digital thickness value or optional live A-scan waveform for signal verification on complex surfaces.
Lightweight handheld design with long-life rechargeable battery, suitable for mobile field inspection. It requires ultrasonic couplant like 100100 to form stable acoustic coupling between transducer and workpiece. This model has been phased out of active production, with newer models serving as upgrades for new projects; refurbished units are common for maintenance spare replacement.
Typical applications include pipeline residual wall thickness detection, pressure vessel corrosion monitoring, thin sheet metal, plastic, glass and composite component inspection in power plants, chemical factories, shipyards and machinery manufacturing.Customers can purchase standalone 35DL main unit, or complete kits matched with ultrasonic transducer, shielded signal cable, coupling gel and carrying case.
