GE Panametrics AquaTrans AT868 Fixed Ultrasonic Liquid Flow Transmitter
GE AquaTrans AT868 is an economical wall-mounted transit-time ultrasonic flowmeter optimized for water media. It supports clamp-on or insertion transducers to achieve non-intrusive continuous liquid flow monitoring for water and wastewater pipelines.
Description
GE Panametrics AquaTrans AT868 belongs to the classic 868 series ultrasonic measurement platform, adopting patented Correlation Transit-Time ultrasonic technology. Positioned as a cost-effective solution for water industry scenarios, it is widely used for full-pipe liquid measurement.
The instrument provides single-channel and optional dual-channel configurations. The dual-channel version can measure two independent pipelines simultaneously or adopt dual-path layout on one pipeline to reduce errors caused by asymmetric flow velocity distribution and improve measuring stability. It can be matched with M2LR, C-RS-401, C-RS-402 clamp-on transducers. Installation is implemented on the outer wall of pipelines without pipe cutting or process shutdown, generating zero pressure loss and low maintenance workload.
The main unit is equipped with backlit LCD and internal membrane keypad for on-site parameter configuration, real-time display of flow velocity, volumetric flow and cumulative flow, as well as built-in self-diagnosis function. Standard interfaces include isolated 4–20mA analog output, pulse totalizer, RS232; optional RS485 Modbus communication enables data uploading to PLC, DCS and SCADA systems.
The enclosure meets NEMA 4X / IP66 protection grade, suitable for indoor and outdoor installation. Optional explosion-proof variants are available for hazardous industrial environments. It adapts to carbon steel, stainless steel, ductile iron, PVC and lined pipelines covering an extensive diameter range.
Measuring media mainly includes tap water, cooling water, circulating water, wastewater and other acoustically conductive liquids. Typical application industries cover water plants, municipal sewage systems, power plants, district heating and industrial circulating water pipelines.
Customers can source complete AT868 systems, replacement transmitters, supporting transducers, signal cables and mounting fixtures for new project construction, equipment upgrading and routine maintenance spare replacement.
