GE Panametrics AquaTrans AT868 and DigitalFlow DF868 belong to the classic 868 series ultrasonic flow measurement platform, adopting patented Correlation Transit-Time signal processing technology. The two models share similar measurement principles but target differentiated market scenarios.
GE AquaTrans AT868 is an economical dedicated transmitter optimized for water and wastewater applications, including cooling water, potable water and sewage pipelines. It supports single or dual-channel configurations, compatible with clamp-on and insertion wetted transducers. With simplified function layout and lower overall cost, it delivers stable measurement for relatively clean water media. No pipe cutting is required during installation, eliminating production shutdown, fluid leakage and pressure loss.
GE DigitalFlow DF868 is a high-end full-featured universal liquid flowmeter for complex industrial working conditions. It adapts to ultrapure liquids and fluids containing microbubbles or fine suspended particles. Optional dual-path measurement effectively offsets measuring errors caused by flow distortion and asymmetric velocity profiles. Equipped with expanded I/O interfaces, it supports energy calculation by connecting RTD temperature sensors, suitable for chilled water and hot water energy metering in heating & cooling systems.
Both transmitters can be matched with Panametrics transducers including M2LR, C-RS-401 and C-RS-402. The main units feature graphic LCD and local keypad for parameter setup, real-time flow display and built-in fault diagnosis. Standard outputs cover isolated 4–20mA analog signals, pulse totalizers, programmable alarm relays, Modbus communication. The enclosure meets NEMA 4X / IP66 protection grade for indoor and outdoor installation; optional hazardous area certification supports deployment in chemical and petrochemical sites.
