GE SERIES 5 is a mature programmable logic controller series launched by GE for industrial automation. The whole system consists of CPU processor units, digital I/O modules, analog modules, power supplies, base racks and supporting communication components. It supports ladder diagram programming to realize equipment interlock control, sequence operation and field data acquisition.

Adopting modular rack-mounted architecture, the system allows flexible point configuration according to on-site demands. Hot-swappable module design facilitates maintenance and component replacement. The hardware features strong anti-interference capacity, adapting to harsh industrial environments with dust and voltage fluctuation.

Mass installed units are still running in power plants, papermaking, heavy machinery and water treatment industries. Currently, this series is mainly used for spare parts replacement and maintenance upgrading of legacy automation systems. Available supplies include original new units and tested used modules. It supports local control and basic communication connection, and can connect with HMI for real-time parameter monitoring.
