B872 = 4-channel analog output module series; 100 = Fixed 4-20mA industrial loop current output, differences: 000 (4-20mA old model), 001 (0-20mA), 002 (±10V), 200 (0-10V), 011/032 jumper mixed type; 100 is an improved version of 4-20mA, with stronger ability to adapt to external power supply in the loop. The internal digital signals of the PLC are converted into standard 4-20mA industrial current, which is used to drive two-wire control valves, frequency conversion speed regulation settings, and field loop-type instruments, and is compatible with conventional loop power supply conditions. Replacement of the old Modicon 984 control systems in thermal power, petrochemical, water treatment and metallurgy is carried out. General 4-20mA two-wire valve control points are used on-site.
Operation and Maintenance
The module can be directly hot-swapped into the 800 series I/O slots without the need for internal jumpers on the board; a red light on a single channel indicates a short circuit in the on-site circuit or abnormal supply voltage of the loop; it can be used in the same chassis with the full series of B872 000/001/002/200/011.
