Bosch Rexroth maintained stable sales in 2025, with positive growth prospects for 2026.

Mainz-Lor - In the fiscal year 2025, the sales of Bosch Rexroth were approximately 6.5 billion euros. Despite the still challenging business environment, the company successfully maintained stable business operations and remained the same as the previous year. New orders significantly increased, with an increase of nearly 9%, reaching approximately 6.6 billion euros. This was the first time since 2022 that new orders exceeded sales. Bosch Rexroth expects that as long as the geopolitical situation does not further escalate, this fiscal year will achieve a slight growth. To ensure future development, Bosch Rexroth invested approximately 560 million euros in research and development, construction, and facility building. By the end of 2025, Bosch Rexroth had approximately 31,900 employees worldwide.

The economic and geopolitical environment remains challenging for our customers and ourselves. Moreover, competitors from Asia are continuously entering the European market. "Therefore, innovation, customer orientation, adaptability and cost consciousness will continue to be the key factors for the success of Bosch Rexroth," said Dr. Jochen Peter, who has been the CEO of Bosch Rexroth AG since March 2026. For example, Bosch Rexroth has restructured its business in China, strengthened its operations in Japan, and constantly adjusted its product portfolio to meet customer needs. After a period of approximately two years when new orders were lower than sales, this ratio has improved. "Since 2025 and up to this year, our orders have continued to grow - this makes us cautiously optimistic about the future, but only if the current geopolitical challenges do not further affect the business," Dr. Jochen Peter added.

The total sales volume of the Chinese business has stabilized.

The sales figure for the fiscal year 2025 was 6.45 billion euros, which was only 1.4% lower than the previous year (2024 was 6.54 billion euros). Compared with the two particularly strong years in 2022 and 2023 (7 billion euros and 7.5 billion euros respectively), it has now stabilized at a lower level. After deducting the impact of exchange rates, the sales increased by 0.9%. Both Europe (excluding Germany) and the regions of Asia, Africa and Australia achieved slight year-on-year growth. In Germany - where Bosch Rexroth has the largest sales volume - the sales in 2025 were slightly lower than the previous year. China, as the third-largest sales market, its growth played a crucial role in stabilizing the overall sales.

New orders: Increased by approximately 9%

The new orders for 2025 amount to 6.6 billion euros, an increase of approximately 540 million euros compared to the previous year, representing a growth of 8.9%. The growth in new orders in China was the most significant. The order volumes in Europe and Germany also increased significantly.

2026 Outlook: Focus on Growth, Still Facing Significant Challenges

"The fiscal year 2026 started well: Similar to the previous year, the new orders received so far have exceeded the level of the same period last year, and sales have also increased, although the growth rate is relatively moderate. Nevertheless, the global business environment remains uncertain, and cost pressures remain high. Therefore, we are continuing to implement cost optimization, adjust the organizational structure to better meet the market demands, and build product and solution systems for customers." Holger von Hebel, the Chief Financial Officer of Bosch Rexroth AG, stated.

Large-scale investment in factories and research and development

To ensure the future competitiveness of the product and solution portfolio, the company has invested approximately 560 million euros in machinery equipment, facilities and buildings, as well as research and development. Over the past three years, Bosch Rexroth has made large-scale investments in factories and the overall manufacturing network, ensuring sufficient production capacity globally when the business recovers. In Germany, Bosch Rexroth has invested approximately 57 million euros in factories in Mainz, Elchingen, Nuremberg and Holbein. Bosch Rexroth has also made further large-scale investments in Mexico, the United States and Sweden.

Innovation towards higher efficiency, greater security and sustainability

In the fiscal year 2025, Bosch Rexroth further strengthened its product portfolio through a series of innovations. For instance, in the field of walking hydraulic systems, the new MPR Performance high-performance radial piston motor has enhanced the production efficiency and energy efficiency of compact construction machinery, while the ORC2 high-performance computer provides the necessary system foundation for the autonomous functions of walking machinery. The ctrlX AUTOMATION platform has integrated AI functions and further improved the computing performance of the ctrlX COREplus controller. New applications have also further enriched the open operating system ctrlX OS, such as a security scanner (Security Scanner) for checking if there are vulnerabilities in the equipment group. In the hydraulic service field, Bosch Rexroth launched Hydraulic Hub: This is a digital toolbox that simplifies the maintenance process and thereby improves equipment availability.

Targeted personnel restructuring

By the end of 2025, Bosch Rexroth had approximately 31,900 employees worldwide. Compared to the previous year, this number decreased by about 700, representing a 2.3% drop. Approximately 13,200 employees (accounting for 41%) of Bosch Rexroth were working in Germany.

Bosch Rexroth makes its debut at the Hannover Industrial Fair

At the ongoing Hannover Messe, Bosch Rexroth showcased a new concept: In the newly established "Defense Production Zone", Bosch Rexroth demonstrated manufacturing technologies that can be applied to both civilian and defense sectors. Additionally, Bosch Rexroth exhibited exhibits related to battery production and recycling in the "Application Park" exhibition area, and as part of the "Fluid 4.0" research project, participated in the joint booth display of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy's "Industry 4.0 Platform". Through this approach, Bosch Rexroth communicated with customers and visitors at the Hannover Messe in a more industry-oriented manner than before.

Bosch Rexroth has been a part of the Bosch Group for 25 years.

In May 2001, Bosch Automation Technology merged with Mannesmann Rexroth. Over the past 25 years, Bosch Rexroth has continuously contributed to the success of the Bosch Group and the balanced development of its business structure. "Despite numerous changes, one thing has remained unchanged: the Bosch Rexroth team's unwavering commitment to customers, its outstanding technical capabilities, and its passion for products." Dr. Steffen Haack, the former CEO of Bosch Rexroth (until the end of February) and current member of the executive committee, said. Currently, he is responsible for engineering-related business and new strategic growth areas. Bosch Rexroth has a long history of over 230 years, dating back to the establishment of Ludwig Rexroth in 1795.
