Driving at high speeds together, Schneider Electric becomes the official energy technology partner of the McLaren team

Beijing, China, February 6, 2026 - Schneider Electric, the global leader in energy technology, recently announced that it has officially become the energy technology official partner of the McLaren Racing team. It will provide support to the McLaren Mastercard Formula One team, the Arrow McLaren Indy team, the McLaren F1 Academy, and the McLaren United Motorsport WEC supercar team. 

This collaboration is based on the mutual pursuit of data intelligence, accelerated innovation and outstanding engineering by both parties. Schneider Electric and the McLaren Racing Team will jointly develop and deploy various energy technologies. They will not only provide a robust energy solution for the team's global races, but also offer stable energy support to the technical center of McLaren's headquarters in Woking, UK, ensuring that the McLaren team maintains its peak performance in the most demanding racing and technical environments. 


This collaboration represents a new upgrade of the long-term partnership between the two parties that has lasted for over two decades. Its aim is to jointly address the key energy challenges under the requirements of high performance and stable operation. The specific measures include: optimizing existing equipment in facilities such as wind tunnels, production manufacturing, and data centers to enhance system resilience and reduce energy consumption; promoting electrification through advanced energy technologies; and leveraging digital twin technology to uncover data insights, thereby improving operational efficiency and sustainability.
