NI SH68-68-EPM
Description
Product Introduction
NI SH68-68-EPM is a new generation of high-performance 68-pin shielded I/O cable, serving as an upgraded replacement model for SH68-68-EP. It is specifically designed for NI M/X/S series DAQ devices and 68-pin terminal boards/signal conditioning accessories, used for low-noise and high-integrity transmission of analog, digital, and counter signals. It adopts an enhanced shielding + independent twisted pair + flame-retardant outer covering design, with significantly superior anti-interference and noise reduction capabilities compared to the EP model. It is the preferred choice for high-precision acquisition and industrial applications, with a standard length of 1 meter (part number 184749-01). Additional options of 2/5/10 meters are available.

High-speed mixed signals: X series (63xx) high-speed synchronous acquisition (up to 5MS/s), analog + digital + counter synchronous testing with NI.
SCXI system setup: DAQ cards directly connected to SCXI-1377/1378 terminal boards, building high-channel-count temperature / strain systems.
Industrial sites and buildings: Frequency converters, motor testing, equipment monitoring; Ventilation duct wiring (flame-retardant certification).
User and maintenance instructions Instruction Manual
Power-off insertion and removal: Before connecting or disconnecting, turn off the device power to prevent interface damage from hot plugging.
Connection guidelines: Insert the connector smoothly and tighten the screws for anti-loosening; avoid pulling and sharp corner bending.
Grounding requirements: Single-ended grounding of the shielding layer (DAQ side), avoiding ground loops; differential transmission for analog signals preferred.
Cabling considerations: Keep away from strong electrical sources, frequency converters, etc. of interference sources; the bending radius should be ≥ 117mm.
Maintenance instructions
Environment: Dry and well-ventilated, within the rated temperature and humidity range, away from dust, corrosive gases and strong electromagnetic sources.
Regular inspection: Check for loose connections or oxidation of the connectors, as well as damaged cables every quarter; use isopropyl alcohol to wipe and dry the interface if it is dirty.
Cleaning: Use a dust-free soft cloth to wipe the interface after power-off, and do not spray liquids directly onto the interface.
Storage: Coil the diameter ≥ 15cm, in a cool and dry place, avoiding heavy pressure and direct sunlight.
