I. Product Introduction The PXI-6515 is an industrial-grade 64-channel isolated digital input/output module from NI (Emerson). It is a 3U single-slot PXI, featuring 32 bidirectional source/sink inputs + 32 high-current output channels, ±30 V wide voltage, 500 mA/channel, 8 groups of 250 Vrms isolation, enhanced high-current NPN load driving and industrial safety. It is currently in production.

VII. Installation and Maintenance Instructions

Installation and Power On

Disconnect the power supply card, ensure the chassis is reliably grounded; Power on, NI-DAQmx self-checking, no preheating required.

Operating Temperature: 0–55℃, keep the air duct unobstructed, avoid overloading due to high temperature.

Wiring and Operation

Avoid frequent plugging and unplugging of 100-pin interface, recommended to use CB-100 isolation wiring box for intermediate transfer.

Input Voltage: ≤±30 V, Output current per channel ≤ 500 mA,严禁 short circuit; Use shielded twisted pair for long-distance, keep away from strong electricity / motors.

Filtering Time: Set according to contact characteristics (10–50 ms), Watchdog timeout time set according to safety requirements (100–500 ms).

Daily Maintenance

Keep interfaces clean, prevent dust accumulation in long-term idle state; No calibration required, regularly check the tightness of wiring terminals.

Isolation Layer: Regular insulation test (250 Vrms/1 minute) to ensure isolation performance.
