PXI-2564

Product Introduction PXI‑2564 (part number 778572‑64) is a PXI universal electromechanical relay module launched by National Instruments (NI). It offers 16 independent SPST (Form A, normally open) non-latching relays, and can also be configured as 8 DPST. The main feature is medium to high power signal switching. The single channel has a maximum of 150 VDC / 5 A, with a bandwidth of 10 MHz. It is suitable for scenarios such as automobiles, military, industrial ATE, etc. that require large current/high voltage switching.

User and maintenance instructions

Installation and configuration

Insert the PXI 3U single slot and fix it.

Install the NI-SWITCH driver, identify the module in MAX and select the topology (16×SPST or 8×DPST).

Connect the 37-pin D-SUB cable, avoid strong pulling and dragging; for high-power circuits, it is recommended to use shielded cables and reliable grounding.

Key operation points

Power limit: Strictly follow the 150 V / 5 A limit; inductive loads (motors, coils) need to be equipped with current-limiting protection to avoid overvoltage breakdown of contacts NI.

Trigger selection:

Low-speed debugging: Software immediate trigger;

High-speed synchronization: PXI hardware trigger (0-7 lines).

Channel independent control: 16 channels can be independently turned on and off, without interference.

Maintenance and calibration

Life monitoring: Read the number of closures through NI-SWITCH, warning for replacement when approaching 1×10⁵ times (full load); NI.

Regular inspection: Check the D-SUB connector for looseness and oxidation every quarter; clean the contacts.

Environmental requirements: Working temperature 0-55°C, humidity 10%-90% (no condensation).

Relay replacement: Replace on-site according to NI manual steps, no professional tools required NI
