PXI-2503

I. Product Introduction PXI-2503 is a high-density, medium-power, high-precision electromechanical relay switch module launched by National Instruments (NI). It is a 3U PXI specification and is compatible with PXI/CompactPCI buses. It offers 48 channels with flexible topologies (1/2/4-wire multiplexing or 4×6 matrix), using low thermal-offset electromechanical relays, capable of switching up to 60 VDC/30 VAC, 1 A signals, with a bandwidth of up to 10 MHz. It is suitable for automation test and measurement systems that require high precision, medium power, and multi-channel signal routing.

Research and laboratory: Material testing, electrochemical measurement, multi-channel monitoring, and precise instrument calibration by NI.

VII. Installation and Maintenance Instructions

Installation and Wiring:

Module: Unplug and then plug in, insert into the 3U slot of the PXI chassis, and tighten the fixing screws.

Terminal block: Use TB-2605, connect according to the topology (1/2/4 wires), avoid short circuits.

Grounding: Reliable connection of signal ground to chassis ground to reduce noise.

Software Configuration:

Install NI-SWITCH driver, NI-MAX recognizes the module, configure topology and scan list by NI.

Programming: Directly call the switch VI in LabVIEW, or control channel switching and scanning using C#/Python.

Daily Maintenance:

Cleaning: After power off, wipe the panel with a soft cloth to avoid liquid entering the interface.

Environment: Working temperature 0–50 °C, avoid dust, moisture, and strong electromagnetic interference.

Relay lifespan: Avoid overpressure / overcurrent (>60 V/1 A), regularly check the contact status.

Static protection: Wear an anti-static wristband when plugging in and out the module, ensure good grounding of the chassis.
