PXI-1033

1.Product Introduction PXI-1033 is a 5-slot, integrated MXI-Express remote controller and compact PXI chassis launched by National Instruments (NI). It is specifically designed for remote control and distributed testing and is compatible with 3U PXI and CompactPCI modules. It has an internal MXI-Express interface and can be directly connected to a PC via cables to achieve transparent remote measurement and control. It is widely used in the automotive, automation testing, and electronic measurement fields.

Description

II. Model Interpretation

PXI: PCI eXtensions for Instrumentation, a PCI expansion bus standard for instruments.

1033: 1000 Series (General PXI chassis), 33 represents 5 slots, integrated MXI-Express remote control, enhanced cooling version.

III. Technical Parameters

Slot Configuration: 5 3U PXI peripheral slots (including 1 star trigger slot, default Slot 2); compatible with CompactPCI PICMG 2.0 R3.0.

Noise: Approximately 40–45 dBA (automatic mode).

IV. Interface and Communication Configuration

MXI-Express Remote Interface: Built-in x1 MXI-Express, 110 MB/s continuous throughput, transparent connection to PC, no additional controller card required.

PXI Backplane Bus: 32-bit PCI, supports multi-module DMA and plug-and-play.

Synchronization and Trigger:

10 MHz global clock, slot-to-slot clock skew ≤70 ps.

Star trigger: Slot 2 is the star trigger center, each slot has independent trigger lines.

Local Bus: High-speed point-to-point communication between adjacent modules.

External Interfaces:

IEC AC power input, power switch, grounding terminal.

MXI-Express cable interface (backplane), status LED indicator.

V. Core Functions

Integrated Remote Control: Built-in MXI-Express, directly connects to PC, eliminates independent controller, simplifies remote / distributed testing architecture NI.

5-slot Expansion Capability: 5 peripheral slots, suitable for multi-module systems, balancing compactness and scalability NI.

Efficient Cooling Design: 300 W power supply + 25 W cooling per slot, intelligent fan speed control, stable operation under high load.

High Precision Synchronization: 10 MHz low-jitter clock + star trigger, ensures multi-module timing consistency.

General Compatibility: Plug-and-play 3U PXI/CompactPCI modules, compatible with NI and third-party modules.

VI. Application Scenarios

Remote / Distributed Testing: Field measurement and control outside the room, vehicle / airborne testing, remote data acquisition in the laboratory NI.

Automotive Electronic Testing: ECU function testing, sensor signal acquisition, vehicle bus monitoring NI.

Small and Medium-sized Automation Testing: Electronic product function testing, multi-station detection on the production line, equipment status monitoring NI.

Portable / Field Measurement Control: On-site fault diagnosis, field equipment detection, mobile data acquisition system NI.

VII. Installation and Maintenance Instructions

Installation: Rack: 4U standard cabinet, with fixed rails/screws, and reserved space for front and rear ventilation.

Desktop / Portable: Install optional foot pads and side handles for stable placement, avoiding blocking the ventilation openings.

Modules: Insert 3U PXI/CompactPCI modules when power is off, and tighten the fixing screws.

Power On and Operation:

Connect to 90–264 VAC, turn on the power switch, and the status LED will light up normally.

PC end install MXI-Express driver, and through MAX configuration, the module can be remotely controlled.

Daily Maintenance:

Cleaning: After power off, use a soft-bristled brush to clean the dust on the bottom intake and rear/top exhaust filters. Replace the fan filter regularly.

Environment: Avoid humidity, dust, and strong electromagnetic interference; operating temperature 0–50 °C. Electrostatic protection: When plugging or unplugging the module, wear an anti-static wristband to prevent the board cards from being damaged by static electricity.
