Description

HIMA PS1000/230 (010) Power Module (Special for H41q/H51q)

PS1000/230 (Model: PS1000/230 010, Order Number: 982200089) is a 230VAC input, 24VDC output redundant power module designed by Germany HIMA for the H41q/H51q (HIQuad X) safety system. It is a 19-inch 1U rack-mounted device, providing SIL3-level isolated regulated power supply for the CPU and I/O cards. It has been discontinued but has a large amount of inventory / second-hand available.

I. Basic Information

Model: PS1000/230 010 (often abbreviated as PS1000/230)

Brand: HIMA (Germany)

Type: AC/DC redundant power module (19" 1U)

Compatible systems: H41q, H51q (HIQuad X) safety controller chassis

Input: 230VAC (110~250VAC wide range)

Output: 24VDC isolated voltage regulation

Status: Discontinued (DISCONTINUED), replacement model is PS2000/230

Weight: Approximately 6.0kg

Dimensions: 483mm × 44mm × 281mm (Width × Height × Depth)

Protection: IP20 (for use in cabinet)

Certifications: SIL3, CE, EMC, G3 (industrial environment)

II. Core Electrical Parameters

Input (AC)

Voltage: 110~250VAC (single phase), nominal 230VAC

Frequency: 50/60Hz

Maximum current: 6A (230VAC)

Surge current: ≤125A (230VAC)

Output (DC)

Voltage: 24VDC ±1% (adjustable 22.5~25.5V)

Rated current: 40A (24VDC)

Maximum power: 1000W

Efficiency: ≥89% (full load)

Ripple: ≤50mVpp

Protection functions

Overvoltage: 115% output limit

Overload / Short circuit: current limiting + hiccup mode

Overheating: ≥75℃ shutdown, automatic recovery

Input reverse connection / surge protection

III. Redundancy and Monitoring

Redundant architecture: dual power input + dual output redundancy, no single point failure, meets SIL3 power redundancy requirements

Monitoring signals

DC OK: relay contact (normally open / normally closed), normally closed

ALARM: fault contact (overvoltage / undervoltage / overtemperature / fan failure)

LED status: power green, running green flashing, fault red

Fan: built-in temperature-controlled fan, automatic speed adjustment; alarms when faulty

IV. Interfaces and Terminals (Backplane) Table

Terminal Function

L/N 230VAC live wire / neutral wire

PE Protection ground

V+ / V- 24VDC output positive / negative (two redundant sets)

DC OK Normal relay

ALARM Fault relay

VII. Differences from alternative model PS2000/230

PS1000/230 (old model): 1000W, 40A, single fan, discontinued, original equipment H41q/H51q

PS2000/230 (new model): 2000W, 80A, dual redundant fans, hot-swappable, compatible with H41q/H51q/HIMax, in stock

VI. Application and Installation

Typical application: Power supply for the entire HIMA H41q/H51q security system, with CPU, communication card, I/O card, fan module (K9203/K9203A/K9212)

Installation: 1U position in 19-inch rack, leave ≥50mm clearance between top and bottom for heat dissipation; **Supports redundant parallel connection (2 units)** to enhance reliability

Wiring: AC input ≥2.5mm², DC output ≥4mm², single-ended grounding of shield layer

VII. Common Faults and Maintenance

Red light constantly on: Overvoltage / undervoltage of output, overtemperature, fan stop rotation → Power off for inspection of load / heat dissipation / fan

DC OK disconnected: Output abnormal → Measure DC voltage, troubleshoot short circuit / overload

High noise: Dust accumulation on fan → Power off for dust removal or replace fan

Maintenance cycle: Clean every 6 months, check fan speed, test alarm circuit
