System bus: Dual redundant SafeEthernet, rate 100Mbps
Power supply: 24VDC (±15%), powered by the system backplane, maximum current 4A
Expansion distance: Maximum 100m (fiber optic)/10m (network cable)
Redundancy support: Dual bus redundancy, dual power supply redundancy, no single point failure
Diagnosis: Real-time self-check of backplane voltage, temperature, and communication status, LED alarm
III. Interfaces and Terminals (Simplified) Table
Interface / Terminal Function
PWR1/PWR2 24VDC redundant power input
ETH1/ETH2 Dual redundant system bus (RJ45)
SLOT1~SLOT8 I/O module slots (compatible with 32mm wide modules)
GND System ground / Shield ground
VII. Safety Features
Fault Safety: In case of backplane failure / power loss, all I/O are forced to a safe state (in compliance with ESD power loss safety).
Redundant Architecture: Dual power supply, dual bus redundancy, switching time ≤ 500ms, online replacement without downtime.
Electrical Isolation: Isolation between system side and field side, isolation withstand voltage ≥ 1500VAC, anti EMI interference.
Self-Diagnosis: Real-time detection of overvoltage / undervoltage / overtemperature / communication failure, LED indication and system reporting.
VIII. Installation and Wiring
Installation: Vertical installation of the rack, with an upper and lower spacing of ≥ 20mm for heat dissipation; away from strong electromagnetic interference, corrosive / dusty environment.
Wiring: Power operation, power cable ≥ 1.5mm²; industrial shielded network cable for bus use, double-ended grounding of the shield layer.
Module Installation: Any I/O module can be installed in slots 1~8, supports hot plugging, automatically recognized and configured after insertion.
IX. Debugging and Maintenance
Power-on Test: Power LED (PWR1/PWR2) always on; bus LED (ETH1/ETH2) normal flashing; no alarm LED.
System Configuration: Identify the expansion backplane through SILworX software, configure I/O module addresses and parameters.
Daily Maintenance: Check wiring tightness, no corrosion every 6 months; dry air blowing for dust removal; backup system configuration.
Fault Troubleshooting:
Power Alarm: Check 24VDC input, redundant power module → Replace power;
Communication Interruption: Check network cable, bus configuration, redundant switching → Replace backplane or network cable;
Module Not Recognized: Check slot contact, module model compatibility → Reinsert or replace module.
X. Typical Applications
Petroleum / Chemical: I/O expansion for ESD emergency stop system, signal expansion for BMS burner management system;
Oil and Gas / Power: Expansion for safety control on offshore platforms, I/O rack for gas turbine / boiler protection;
Compatible Systems: H41q/H51q (HIQuad X) series SIS, compatible with H7011 (DO), H7015A (terminal), H4137 (DI).
