Det-Tronics EQ2400NE Network Extender

The Det-Tronics EQ2400NE is an explosion-proof network extender for the Det-Tronics Eagle Quantum Premier fire and gas safety system, rated for 18–30V DC supply and 3.0W power consumption. This Det-Tronics EQ2400NE extends the SLC communication loop length and increases the maximum number of addressable field devices on the system, supporting flame detectors, gas detectors and initiating circuit modules in hazardous area installations. The Det-Tronics EQ2400NE is widely used as an original spare for maintenance and retrofit of petrochemical, refinery and offshore fire & gas safety systems.

The Det-Tronics EQ2400NE features an aluminum explosion-proof housing with hazardous area approvals. Each Det-Tronics EQ2400NE extends the communication loop by up to 2000 meters and adds capacity for an additional 60 field nodes, helping users overcome distance and device quantity limits of the base Eagle Quantum Premier loop. Status indicators on the Det-Tronics EQ2400NE provide visual feedback for power status and bus communication health, enabling quick on-site troubleshooting of loop wiring faults or signal dropout. It supports two-way repeat and isolation functions to contain short-circuit faults so that only one segment of the loop is affected.

This Det-Tronics EQ2400NE is engineered for direct field mounting in Class I hazardous locations. The Det-Tronics EQ2400NE uses isolated communication circuitry to suppress ground loops and electrical noise from process equipment. It is configured through Det-Tronics safety system software together with the EQP controller. The bus protocol and signal timing of the Det-Tronics EQ2400NE follow the Eagle Quantum Premier specification, allowing direct replacement without reworking the main safety system configuration.

The Det-Tronics EQ2400NE is commonly deployed in refineries, chemical plants, LNG facilities and offshore platforms that use Det-Tronics fire and gas safety systems.
