ABB SPBRC300

The SPBRC300 is a BRC300 bridge controller module for ABB Symphony Plus DCS, compatible with legacy Bailey Infi 90 / Harmony rack system. This SPBRC300 acts as the core process controller and network bridge, executing PID regulation, sequence logic, interlock and batch control for continuous process loops. The SPBRC300 supports dual Ethernet and Modbus TCP, bridging the Harmony internal bus with external host, HMI and asset management networks.

This SPBRC300 adopts 24VDC power supply, supports redundant hot standby configuration and hot-swap replacement without system shutdown. It carries built-in self-diagnosis, millisecond-level sequence of events recording and watchdog protection. Front panel LEDs indicate power, run, fault and communication status for rapid troubleshooting. The onboard non-volatile memory with battery backup retains control configuration and historical data after power loss. It can coordinate multiple I/O modules and remote I/O racks on the backplane bus.

The SPBRC300 is widely used in power plants, pulp & paper, chemical and water treatment DCS control rooms. Symphony Plus is ABB’s mature distributed control platform. Many automation maintenance teams stock the SPBRC300 as spare controller for cabinet overhaul and emergency replacement of existing Harmony racks.
