VERIPOS LD5 INTEGRATED MOBILE UNIT
VERIPOS LD5 Integrated Mobile Unit is a rugged multi-constellation GNSS positioning receiver from Hexagon Veripos, designed as primary position reference sensor for offshore DP vessels, survey vessels and drilling rigs. This integrated mobile positioning unit combines multi-frequency GNSS receiver and L-band demodulator inside one compact chassis, receiving Veripos Apex/Ultra high-precision satellite differential correction signals. The integrated mobile positioning unit computes high-accuracy geographic position, outputs NMEA and RTCM data to vessel DP control system, supports optional MF beacon and UHF DGPS correction input for redundant positioning. The integrated mobile positioning unit carries local display and keypad for on-site setup, built-in SD card data logging for post-mission audit and position quality recording. The integrated mobile positioning unit serves as critical position reference spare part for dynamic positioning system overhaul and offshore high-precision navigation retrofit.

This LD5 unit adopts marine aluminum housing, powered by 10–36VDC wide-range DC supply. LD5 has three RS232/RS422 serial ports, one Ethernet TCP/IP port and USB interface, available in A/B/C variants; LD5-C supports GNSS heading output. LD5 achieves positioning accuracy up to <5cm (95% confidence) with Veripos L-band service, complies with IEC 60945 marine environmental standard, resisting vibration, salt mist and humidity. LD5 is end-of-life legacy hardware, new original production discontinued, only surplus and reconditioned spare stock available. LD5 is widely deployed on offshore supply vessels, semi-submersible rigs, pipe-lay and hydrographic survey ships for DP position reference.
