MITSUI ZOSEN BMS-2000 MCU-2
MITSUI ZOSEN MCU-2 is the Main Control Unit for Mitsui Zosen BMS-2000 marine main engine remote control system, installed inside the engine control room cabinet. This main control unit receives manoeuvring commands transmitted from BCU-1 bridge control unit, executes main engine start, stop, ahead/astern reversal, speed regulation and starting air sequence logic. The main control unit collects engine sensor signals via MAS I/O modules, performs safety interlock, pre-alarm, slowdown and emergency shutdown protection for low-speed two-stroke propulsion diesel engine. The main control unit stores engine running data, fault event logs, communicates with vessel alarm monitoring system and supports local diagnostic and parameter adjustment. The main control unit serves as core engine-room-side spare controller for BMS-2000 propulsion remote control cabinet overhaul and vessel manoeuvring system retrofit.

This MCU-2 unit is rack-mounted marine controller board, powered by shipboard 24VDC auxiliary power, IP20 protection class. MCU-2 complies with IEC 60945 marine environmental standard and DNV, NK, LR type approvals, with built-in hardware watchdog and self-test function, resistant to salt mist, vibration and wide temperature fluctuation in engine room. MCU-2 interacts with BCU-1, MAS I/O modules, engine local interface and ECR display panel, implements rough sea auto speed reduction and engine load limiting protection.
