Description
MITSUI ZOSEN BMS-2000
MITSUI ZOSEN BMS-2000 is a marine main engine remote control system developed by Mitsui Zosen Systems Research (MSR) for large low-speed two-stroke propulsion diesel engines. This main engine remote control system executes bridge and engine control room manoeuvring orders, including engine start, stop, ahead/astern reversing, speed regulation and starting air sequence control. The main engine remote control system integrates engine safety protection, slowdown and emergency shutdown interlock, real-time parameter monitoring, alarm logging and data communication with ship alarm monitoring system. The main engine remote control system adopts modular hardware architecture with redundant safety logic to prevent common-mode failure during vessel navigation. The main engine remote control system serves as core propulsion automation spare system for bulk carriers, tankers, container ships and LNG vessel engine control cabinet overhaul and propulsion control retrofit.
This BMS-2000 system consists of bridge operating panel, ECR display unit, main controller, I/O modules and local engine interface units, powered by shipboard 24VDC supply. BMS-2000 supports rough sea auto speed reduction and engine load limiting functions to protect main engine from overload. BMS-2000 carries type approval by DNV, NK, LR and ABS, designed to withstand marine vibration, salt mist and wide temperature variation in engine room. BMS-2000 is widely deployed on merchant vessels equipped with MAN B&W two-stroke main engines.
As marine propulsion control hardware, this MITSUI ZOSEN system guarantees reliable manoeuvring command transmission and safety protection during voyage and port operation. MITSUI ZOSEN BMS-2000 spare parts include main CPU boards, MAS I/O modules, bridge operating panels, display units and power supply modules for propulsion remote control system maintenance. MITSUI ZOSEN main engine remote control systems are trusted replacement solutions for legacy vessel propulsion automation upgrade.
