Description

I. Product Basic Information

Model: F3311

Brand: HIMA Black Horse

Series: HIMatrix F3 Series

Module Type: SIL3 Safety CPU Main Control Module

Application Scenarios: SIS, ESD, BMS, F&G Safety Instrumented System

Programming Configuration Software: SILworX

Safety Level: SIL3 IEC 61508, TÜV AK6, Cat.4 / PL e

Hardware Architecture: TMR Triple Redundancy Architecture

Operating Status: Industrial Production Standard Main Control Module

II. Electrical Hardware Parameters

Power supply voltage: External 24VDC, with allowable fluctuation range of ±20%

Overall power consumption: approximately 15W

Processor: Triple redundancy 32-bit secure processor

Program storage: 1MB Flash EPROM

Data storage: 1MB SRAM

Isolation withstand voltage: 2kVrms insulation isolation between the system and ground, as well as between channels.

Operating temperature: -20℃ to +60℃

Protection level: IP20

Support hot swapping: Supported

Installation method: 19-inch rack, standard F3 series backplane slot

Overall machine weight: Approximately 0.8 kilograms

III. Interface Configuration

Ethernet interface: 1 path RJ45, supporting Modbus TCP, Profinet, and EtherNet/IP

Serial interface: RS485 terminal interface, supporting proprietary serial protocols and Modbus RTU

Local logic channel: Integrates 4 configurable safety channels, which can be customized as logic interlock or local input/output linkage.

IV. Performance and Safety Parameters

Safety response time: ≤ 10ms

Fault redundancy: TMR (Three-out-of-Two) voting, single-path failure does not cause machine shutdown or safety state interruption

Self-diagnosis: Comprehensive self-diagnosis of all modules, loop fault monitoring, backplane communication failure, power failure, and logical operation failure are all covered.

Fault behavior: Upon detecting a fault, it automatically enters the preset safe failure state. It can be configured to maintain the logic or trigger an interlock shutdown.

V. User Manual - Operating Instructions

Installation and fixation

The module is directly inserted into the standard F3 chassis backplane slot. Once pushed in, the locking mechanism automatically locks in place without the need for additional fixing screws. The entire machine is installed to maintain ventilation, with a reserved cooling gap at the top and bottom, and it is kept away from strong frequency converters and high-voltage power cables.

2. Power connection wiring

Connect to a stable 24VDC industrial power supply. The positive and negative terminals must strictly correspond to the terminal markings. The grounding terminal of the casing must be reliably connected to the protective ground to reduce interference and EMC impact.

3. Communication Wiring

The Ethernet port is directly connected to the computer switch, used for program download, online monitoring, and configuration parameter download; the RS485 terminals are wired according to positive and negative polarity, used for serial communication between the lower-level instruments or third-party devices.

4. Software Configuration

Use the SILworX software to create a new project, select the corresponding F3311 hardware model; configure the network IP address, communication protocol, redundancy parameters, and safety interlock logic; after successful compilation, download it to the CPU, and then run the online monitoring after the download is completed.

5. Daily Maintenance

Normal operation does not require daily calibration; regular checks should be conducted on the power voltage, whether the rack contacts are loose, and whether the communication network cables and terminals are aged; for module failures, the panel indicator lights and software diagnostic information should be referred to. Faulty modules can be directly hot-swapped for replacement without the need to shut down the entire system.

6. Compatibility and Replacement

F3311 is a standard main control of the F3 series. It can be combined with all DI/DO expansion modules of the F32xx series in the same chassis. For replacement of the same specification, it can be directly interchanged with the same model without the need to modify the program or wiring.
