NI-9234

Product Introduction The NI C series 4-channel dedicated sound vibration acquisition module is an original factory production product. It is compatible with CompactDAQ, CompactRIO, and USB-9162 single-module carrier boards. It is targeted at IEPE piezoelectric acceleration sensors, microphones, rotational speed probes, and TEDS intelligent sensors. The main features are high-precision NVH and equipment fault vibration acquisition.

Description

Part Code Definition

Front panel: 4-channel BNC signal interface; C series internal bus;

Matched with cDAQ‑9178/9179 (USB chassis), cRIO‑903x/904x real-time chassis, USB‑9162 portable base;

Compatible drivers: NI‑DAQmx, Sound and Vibration toolkit; Compatible with LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, Python, TestStand, LabVIEW RT real-time system NI. Core Functions

IEPE accelerometer/microphone signal acquisition, vibration spectrum analysis, order tracking, rotational speed synchronization test, equipment online status monitoring, noise acoustics testing, TEDS sensor automatic manual calibration-free; hardware automatic filtering to suppress spectral aliasing, synchronous clock trigger for acquisition within multi-module chassis. Application Scenarios

Whole vehicle NVH noise and vibration tests, fault diagnosis of fans / motors / gearboxes, chassis bench tests, laboratory acoustic calibration, online equipment inspection on production lines, and onboard vibration inspection for construction machinery. Operation & Maintenance Notes

Use double-layer shielded BNC coaxial cable for wiring; for long-distance measurement points, AC coupling is used to filter out DC drift; idle channels are turned off with 2mA IEPE excitation to save power; the BNC metal casing avoids short-circuiting and introduces ground line noise; for dusty and humid conditions, select the 779680-03 three-proof model NI.
