Description
Model Interpretation
5466: Unified part prefix of MicroNet series discrete I/O board;
258: Fixed channel specification code, 48-channel optically isolated digital input + 24-channel relay-type digital output simplex version, matched dual 24/12 discrete FTM terminal base for field wiring expansion.
Technical Specifications
Electrical & Mechanical Parameter
Power Supply: Backplane bus powered 24VDC(18~32VDC), typical power consumption 6.5W
Channel Resource: 48×Optical-isolated DI(24VDC field dry contact/level input); 24×DO relay output(24VDC driving for field solenoid & contactor)
Isolation Grade: All DI channels adopt optocoupler isolation, anti-surge and field short-circuit interference
Ambient Range: Operating temp 0℃~+55℃, storage -40℃~+85℃, 5%~95%RH non-condensing
Dimension & Weight: Standard 6U VME plug-in board, net weight≈0.88kg, full metal shielding housing
Certification: UL, ATEX, CE/EMC, Class I Div.2 hazardous location certification(Group A-D)
Internal Hardware
Onboard channel self-diagnosis circuit, real-time open/short detection for input loop; built-in bus communication chip for high-speed data interaction with backplane MicroNet bus.
Interface and Communication Configuration
Front Panel: Single red public fault LED indicator for module overall abnormality alarm; no external serial/Ethernet port
Rear Side: Gold finger backplane connector for chassis internal bus; two high-density dedicated wiring ports for external connection with dual 24/12 FTM terminal modules via shielded dedicated cables
Core Function
Field discrete signal acquisition: Collect unit interlock switch, emergency stop contact, valve feedback, auxiliary relay status 24VDC dry contact signals, upload digital status data to system CPU for interlock logic calculation.
On-site equipment switch output: Output switch signal to drive fuel cutoff solenoid, vent valve, auxiliary fan contactor, implement turbine protection trip and auxiliary equipment sequential control commanded by main CPU.
Channel self-diagnosis monitoring: Auto detect input channel open circuit/short circuit fault, trigger front fault indicator and send fault alarm message to control system.
Cabinet I/O capacity expansion: Expand large-size genset control cabinet digital signal access quantity, match analog I/O card 5466-316 to build complete turbine governing & protection signal system.
Hot-swap support: Allow single module online replacement without cutting off whole cabinet power, reduce unit maintenance downtime.
Applicable Scenarios
Gas/steam turbine generator MicroNet simplex/redundant control cabinet, petrochemical reciprocating compressor protection control rack, waste heat power plant turbine interlock system, offshore genset auxiliary control cabinet, matched with CPU 5501-470, power module 5501-467 and supporting FTM terminal bases.
Operation and Maintenance Instructions
Install standard I/O slot of MicroNet main or expansion chassis, field all discrete wiring must connect with matched dual 24/12 FTM terminal bases via dedicated high-density cable, forbid direct wiring on module port.
Annual maintenance: Blow backplane golden finger and front panel dust with dry compressed air, tighten FTM wiring terminals and check shielding cable grounding reliability.
Fault troubleshooting: Red fault lamp on first check cabinet backplane 24VDC power; single channel abnormal inspect field switch/solenoid wiring and peripheral power supply.
Module replacement: Support hot plug replacement; new module no program download required after installation, automatically complete bus identification via chassis backplane.
