Internal Hardware
Built-in EMI filter, isolated switching power circuit, overvoltage/overcurrent/short-circuit protection circuit, onboard power monitoring chip for real-time output voltage detection.
Interface and Communication Configuration
Front Panel Terminals: High-voltage input terminal block for 220V AC/DC field power wiring; 3pcs LED indicators: Power OK, Fault, Overload alarm lamp
Rear Side: Gold finger backplane connector, dock MicroNet chassis internal power bus to distribute 5VDC power to all slot modules inside rack, no external communication port.
Core Function
System centralized power conversion: Convert on-site industrial 220V power to stable 5VDC logic power to supply full set CPU, communication and I/O modules inside control rack.
Multi-layer fault protection: Automatically cut off output under overvoltage, overcurrent, short-circuit and overtemperature conditions, trigger front fault LED alarm to avoid downstream control board burnout.
Backplane power bus distribution: Uniform power transmission via chassis backplane bus, ensure synchronous power supply for all plug-in modules of MicroNet system.
Operating status self-inspection: Real-time monitor input voltage fluctuation and output load change, store abnormal fault record inside module for maintenance inquiry.
Applicable Scenarios
Steam/gas turbine genset MicroNet simplex control cabinet, petrochemical compressor driving prime mover single-set control rack, waste heat power generation unit non-redundant governing system, supporting 505/505E governor and ProTech overspeed protection equipment.
Operation and Maintenance Instructions
Install dedicated power slot of MicroNet simplex rack, forbid installation adjacent to high-power contactor/inverter to prevent input voltage surge damage.
Annual maintenance: Clean front wiring terminal and backplane golden finger dust with dry compressed air, check input cable crimp tightness to avoid loose wiring leading to power dropout.
Abnormal troubleshooting: Power lamp off firstly inspect field 220V input power; overload alarm check internal rack module short-circuit fault one by one; fault light constant bright replace original 5501-467 spare part directly.
Module replacement: Cut off cabinet front high-voltage power supply before plugging/unplugging; new module put into service directly without parameter programming after installation.
