8440-1934

Woodward 8440‑1934 is the easYgen‑3500‑5‑P1 advanced digital genset parallel controller, belonging to Woodward high‑end easYgen‑3000 series. It is a core power management unit integrating automatic synchronization, real‑kW load sharing, comprehensive protection, speed/voltage regulation and multi‑genset parallel control, widely applied in industrial power stations, marine power systems, oil‑gas prime power and critical micro‑grid control systems.

Description

Core Functions

  1. Supports parallel control of up to 32 generator sets in island mode, and single‑set grid‑connected operation; realizes high‑precision real‑kW load balancing and stable power distribution.

  2. Intelligent automatic synchronization: phase/frequency matching, breaker closing control, open/closed transition, soft load/unload and bumpless transfer.

  3. Complete multi‑level protection: over‑voltage, under‑voltage, overload, reverse power, over‑speed, short‑circuit, phase unbalance, engine temperature/oil pressure protection.

  4. Rich communication interfaces: Modbus‑TCP/RTU, CANopen, J1939, Ethernet, supporting SCADA remote monitoring, parameter configuration and fault data logging.

  5. P1 version is a panel‑mount core control unit without front display, supporting remote human‑machine interface connection; compatible with easYgen configuration software for parameter debugging.
