9900-517

Woodward 9900‑517 is a 2301A‑series low‑voltage forward‑acting electronic speed controller, designed for diesel / gas engines and generator sets. It provides stable speed regulation, overspeed protection, actuator drive and basic parallel load‑sharing capability, widely used in power generation, marine, oil‑gas and industrial prime‑mover control systems.

Description

Core Functions

  1. Two control modes: isochronous (constant speed) for single‑unit operation; droop control for parallel gensets.

  2. Forward‑acting output logic, matched with standard proportional electric‑hydraulic actuators.

  3. PID closed‑loop control with startup ramp, stroke limit, overspeed test and protection functions.

  4. Accepts 4‑20 mA remote setpoint signal for speed adjustment, compatible with DCS / PLC.

  5. RS‑485 Modbus‑RTU communication for real‑time monitoring and parameter tuning.
