9904-263

Woodward 9904‑263 is a digital speed‑load controller with integrated auto‑synchronizer from the 9904 series, built on the mature 2301A control platform. It is designed for diesel/gas engines, steam/gas turbines and generator sets, integrating high‑precision speed governing, load sharing, automatic grid synchronization, overspeed protection and fault diagnosis. Class 1 Div 2 hazardous area certified, it is widely used in power generation, petrochemical, oil‑gas and marine heavy‑duty industrial systems.

Description

Core Functions

  1. Dual control modes: isochronous mode for single‑unit constant‑speed operation; droop mode for multi‑unit parallel load sharing.

  2. Built‑in high‑precision auto‑synchronizer for automatic frequency, phase and voltage matching to realize stable grid‑connection.

  3. PID closed‑loop speed‑load regulation, supporting critical speed avoidance, valve stroke limit, load rejection protection and startup ramp control.

  4. Real‑time overspeed monitoring, self‑diagnosis, fault logging and multi‑channel relay alarm outputs.

  5. 4‑20 mA analog remote setpoint input for upper‑level DCS/PLC system linkage.

  6. Local panel parameter setting, online tuning and real‑time monitoring via dedicated Woodward software.
