9904-113

Woodward 9904‑113 is a 2301A‑based digital speed‑load controller with integrated auto‑synchronizer, part of the 9904 series. It is designed for diesel/gas engines, steam/gas turbines and generator sets, combining high‑precision speed governing, load sharing, automatic grid synchronization, overspeed monitoring and fault diagnosis. It features Class 1 Div 2 hazardous area certification, widely used in power generation, petrochemical, marine and heavy‑duty industrial control systems.

Description

Core Functions

  1. Dual control modes: isochronous mode for standalone constant‑speed operation; droop mode for multi‑unit parallel load sharing

  2. Built‑in synchronizer for automatic frequency, phase and voltage matching before grid connection

  3. PID closed‑loop speed/load regulation, with load rejection protection, startup ramp control, valve stroke limit

  4. Overspeed monitoring, real‑time self‑diagnosis, fault logging and multi‑channel relay alarm output

  5. 4‑20 mA analog remote setpoint input, compatible with upper‑level DCS/PLC linkage

  6. RS‑232/422 communication ports, Modbus‑RTU protocol, online tuning via Woodward dedicated software
