WOODWARD 8280‑505 is a 723PLUS Digital Speed & Load Sharing Controller in the 8280 series, developed for diesel‑ and gas‑engine‑driven generator sets, gas turbines and industrial prime movers. It offers high‑precision speed regulation, parallel‑unit load sharing, overspeed protection and comprehensive fault monitoring. Designed for harsh industrial and marine environments, it features high reliability, strong anti‑interference performance and wide temperature adaptability, widely used in power plants, marine power, oil & gas fields and emergency power systems.

  1. Dual control modes: isochronous control for standalone gensets; droop control for multi‑unit parallel load sharing

  2. Dual magnetic pickup (MPU) speed sensor inputs for redundant speed feedback

  3. Fast‑response closed‑loop speed control to stabilize frequency under load changes

  4. Synchronization, soft load on/off for grid‑connected power generation

  5. Overspeed, underspeed, stall protection and self‑diagnostic alarms
