8250-818

WOODWARD 8250‑818 is a 723PLUS series microprocessor‑based digital speed‑load governor, designed for gas engines, diesel engines, stationary generator sets and small‑medium industrial turbines. It provides high‑precision speed regulation, load control, overspeed protection, ramp control and parallel load‑sharing functions, widely used in distributed power stations, oil‑gas fields, cogeneration and industrial power systems.

Description

Key Features

  • Dual redundant magnetic pickup (MPU) speed inputs with torsional vibration notch filtering

  • Supports isochronous (zero‑droop) and droop control modes for standalone or grid‑parallel operation

  • 4‑20 mA / 1‑5 VDC analog remote setpoint for speed/load remote adjustment

  • Built‑in overspeed shutdown, startup fuel limit, acceleration/deceleration ramps, torque‑based fuel limiting

  • Compatible with Woodward DSM/DSLC synchronizers for multi‑unit real‑power load‑sharing

  • Abundant configurable analog & discrete I/O for actuator drive, alarm signals and DCS/PLC connection

  • RS‑232/RS‑422 communication ports, configured and monitored via Watch Window software

  • Industrial‑grade anti‑EMI, anti‑vibration, wide‑temperature design, suitable for harsh environments
