WOODWARD 8239‑002 is a DSM Small‑Size Digital Synchronizer Module, upgraded from 8239‑001, with full three‑parameter synchronization function. It automatically matches generator frequency, phase angle and voltage (1% voltage matching precision) with the grid bus, outputs raise/lower contact signals to the speed governor and AVR, realizing fully‑automatic seamless grid‑connection. Widely used with Woodward 505, 2301 series governors for steam/gas turbines, diesel/gas engine‑driven gensets in power plants, industrial cogeneration and marine power systems.
