II. Core Functions

Cable Arrangement and Fixation, Optimizing the Wiring Order in the Cabinet

As the core supporting component for cable management within the cabinet, it can organize and fix the signal cables of I/O modules, power cables, communication optical cables / twisted pairs in a layered and zoned manner, and provide reliable fixation. It avoids excessive twisting, squeezing, and bending of the cables; supports vertical and horizontal installation, and is compatible with different cabinet layouts and cable routing requirements, making the internal wiring of the cabinet neat and standardized, in line with the installation standards of industrial automation systems, and significantly improving the overall tidiness and professionalism of the cabinet.

Electromagnetic Isolation and Interference Suppression, Ensuring Signal Stability

Using metal shielding material + insulation coating design, it can effectively isolate the electromagnetic interference generated by equipment such as frequency converters, high-power power supplies, and controllers within the cabinet, reducing the impact of external noise on weak signal cables (such as 4–20mA analog signals); at the same time, by organizing the cable spacing, it avoids cross-talk and interference between strong and weak cables, improving the stability of system signal acquisition and transmission, and reducing the risk of erroneous signals and communication anomalies.

Strengthened Support and Protection, Compatible with Industrial Harsh Conditions

The overall structure is sturdy and durable, with high load-bearing capacity, anti-vibration, and anti-shock characteristics. It can support multiple types of cable weights for a long time and withstand the vibration environment of industrial sites, preventing cable detachment and terminal loosening; the surface is coated with an insulating and anti-corrosion coating, with moisture-proof, salt spray-proof, and corrosion-resistant capabilities, suitable for harsh conditions such as high temperatures, humidity, and dust, protecting the cable outer skin and connectors, extending the cable lifespan, and reducing maintenance costs.

Optimized Cooling Space, Enhancing System Operational Reliability

By orderly arranging the cables, it avoids cable accumulation blocking the ventilation channels of the cabinet, ensuring smooth air circulation within the cabinet, optimizing the cooling environment for heat-generating components such as I/O modules and controllers, preventing overheating-induced equipment frequency reduction, failure, or shortened lifespan, ensuring the long-term stable operation of the Ovation system, and reducing the risk of downtime caused by poor cooling.

Simplified Maintenance and Upgrades, Improving Maintenance Efficiency

The orderly wiring structure enables quick location of target cables and terminals, reducing the time for maintenance personnel to troubleshoot, repair, replace modules or cables; it supports flexible addition and reduction of cables and adjustment of layouts, adapting to the later expansion, module upgrade, or process modification requirements of the system, without the need for large-scale changes to the wiring structure, reducing maintenance difficulty and renovation costs, and enhancing the maintainability and scalability of the system.

VI. Installation and Maintenance

(1) Installation Requirements

Installation Position: Vertically installed on the inner side of the cabinet column, or horizontally installed above or below the I/O rack, the installation position should reserve sufficient space for cable operation; avoid strong heat sources, strong electromagnetic sources (such as frequency converters, high-power power supplies) above and below, and keep a distance of ≥100mm from the heat source.

Installation Specifications: Use standard M4 screws for fixation, the tightening torque should be controlled within 1.2–1.5N・m to ensure a firm and secure installation without loosening; when installed vertically, keep the strip vertical, and when installed horizontally, keep it horizontal to avoid tilting that causes cable slippage; when multiple management strips are installed in parallel, the spacing should be ≥200mm to ensure the cable is arranged layer by layer.

Cable Wiring Requirements: Strong current cables (power cables) and weak current cables (signal/communication cables) are arranged layer by layer and zone by zone, with a spacing of ≥50mm; analog signal cables are separately sorted and kept away from strong current and high-frequency cables; the cable bending radius should be ≥6 times the cable diameter to avoid excessive bending that damages the cable; the cable fixation should be neither too tight nor too loose to avoid compression deformation.

(2) Maintenance Points

Regular Inspection: Monthly check whether the fixing screws of the management strips are loose, whether the strips are deformed, and whether the coating is脱落; check whether the cable fixation is firm, whether the outer sheath is damaged, and whether the connectors are loose; investigate potential hazards such as cable accumulation and blocking of ventilation ports, and promptly organize and tidy.

Cleaning Maintenance: Every quarter, use a dry soft cloth to wipe the surface of the management strips and cables, remove dust and oil stains, to avoid dust accumulation affecting insulation performance and heat dissipation; in dusty environments, the cleaning cycle can be shortened to once a month; do not use corrosive cleaning agents to avoid damaging the coating.

Fault Troubleshooting: When signal interference is abnormal, check whether the cables are mixed, whether the grounding of the management strips is good, and whether the coating is damaged; when cables fall off or terminals are loose, re-fix the cables and tighten the terminals; when the strip is deformed or broken, replace the same model management strip in time.

Replacement Notes: When replacing, first sort and temporarily fix the cables, remove the old management strip, install the new management strip, and tighten the fixing screws; re-organize the cables to ensure proper wiring and firm fixation; after replacement, check whether the cable signals are normal and whether the ventilation of the cabinet is smooth.
