9. Installation & Operation
Power off the Momentum rack.
Insert the adapter into the communication slot of a Momentum I/O base and lock it.
Set the node address (0–63) via rotary switches.
Select the baud rate via switches (125/250/500 kbps).
Connect the DeviceNet cable to the 5-pin terminal block.
Power on; verify RUN LED is steady, FLT off, NET blinking.
Configure in PLC software and test I/O communication.
10. Maintenance
Inspect connections and LEDs every 6 months.
Keep the module clean and dry.
Check cable shielding and termination integrity.
Avoid corrosive environments and excessive vibration.
11. Safety Notes
Installation/service only by qualified electricians.
Disconnect power before wiring.
Do not exceed 28.8 VDC on backplane or network.
Maintain proper shielding to avoid EMI.
Dispose of per local e-waste regulations.
12. Troubleshooting
FLT ON: Node address conflict, duplicate node, or bus overload.
NET OFF: No network power, wrong baud rate, or cable break.
Data Freeze (bidirectional modules): Firmware v1.21 issue; use only Polled mode or upgrade to v1.41.
