Installation & Wiring

1. ESD Protection: Use anti‑static wristbands and ESD‑safe surfaces.

2. Power Off: De‑energize chassis before insertion/removal.

3. Chassis Installation:

   • Insert FTA into Size B slot in UCN I/O chassis.

   • Secure with mounting screws.

   • Connect 50‑pin ribbon cable to PSTX IOP.

4. Field Wiring:

   • Use shielded twisted‑pair (STP) cable for HART signals.

   • Connect transmitter ± to designated orange terminals.

   • Ground shields at one end only to avoid ground loops.

5. Configuration: Enable HART communication via Experion PKS/TPS software.
