7200-EIPP
Description
I. Model Disassembly
7200: 7200 series platform
EIP: Eccentricity Input Panel (Panel with eccentricity input)
P: Panel/Pointer (with pointer display)
Full name: 7200-EIPP (Part number: 72992-09)
II. Core Functions and Parameters
Purpose: Monitor rotor eccentricity (bending), determine thermal bending, dynamic and static friction, for use in steam turbines.
Channels: 1 channel of electrical eddy current probe input (commonly 8mm probe + 18745 preamplifier).
Range: 0–2 mils (0–50.8 μm), high-resolution small range.
Display: Panel analog pointer display + alarm LED, local direct reading of eccentricity value.
Output:
4–20mA analog quantity (into DCS)
Alarm / Hazard Relay Dry Contact
Power supply: -24VDC (backplane of 7200 rack)
Status: Original factory completely discontinued, only second-hand / refurbished spare parts circulated.
III. Differences from 7200‑RVR/RVDP‑R
7200‑EIPP: ** eccentric (bent) ** monitoring, small range, high resolution, for turbine applications.
7200‑RVR/RVDP‑R: Radial vibration monitoring, large range (0–15 mils), for general rotating machinery.
IV. Upgrade Replacement (Corresponding to 3500 Series)
Direct replacement card: 3500/45 (7204574‑01) — General-purpose eccentric / axial displacement card, digital, with communication.
Sensor: Original 7200 probe + preamplifier can be directly used (electrical compatibility 3500).
V. Summary
7200‑EIPP = 72992‑09: This is the 7200 series analog eccentric monitoring card from Bently, with a pointer display, used for turbine rotor thermal bending protection; it has been deeply discontinued, spare parts for old units can be used, and new projects should be uniformly upgraded to 3500/45.
