Series positioning: The 7200 series is the predecessor of the 3500 series. It has been discontinued and only spare parts are available now.

Configuration interface: Provides RS-232 serial port, connects to a laptop for parameter configuration, calibration, and firmware upgrade.

System communication: As the communication hub of the 7200 rack, coordinating data interaction among various monitoring cards (such as 72052‑01, 72053‑01).

72027-03F (7200 Series): Older Display / Serial Port Module, Only for 7200 Rack, Simple Functionality, Has Been Discontinued.

3500/22M (7203789-01): New Communication / TDI Module, For 3500 Rack, Equipped with Ethernet + RS-232, Supports System 1 Software and Transient Data Acquisition, More Functionality.

Five. Alternatives and Compatibility

Direct Replacement: Only 72027-03F (Spare Parts are Scarce and Expensive).

Upgrade Solution: Upgrade the 7200 System to 3500 System, Corresponding Replacement with 3500/22M (7203789-01).

Downward Compatibility: Cannot be used in 3500 Rack; 7200 Rack also cannot use 3500 Cards.
