3. Key Features

  • Standard Compliance: Meets GB/T 8019 and ASTM D381 for accurate gum content analysis.

  • Dual Control: Digital temperature controller (±0.1°C) and independent flowmeters for each jet.

  • Efficient Testing: 3 simultaneous test positions with uniform heat distribution.

  • Safe Design: Over-temperature protection, stainless steel bench, and oil-water separator.

  • Easy Operation: Desktop structure, intuitive controls, and built-in silent air compressor.

4. Operating Instructions

  1. Preparation: Place on a horizontal surface, connect power and air supply. Ground the unit securely.

  2. Warm-up: Turn on the heater; wait for the bath to stabilize at 160–165°C.

  3. Sample Loading: Pipette 50mL of cooled sample into a pre-weighed beaker (φ51×70mm). Insert into a test hole.

  4. Air Adjustment: Set air pressure to 0.035MPa; adjust each jet flow to 1000±100mL/min.

  5. Test Run: Start the timer (30min for gasoline). The instrument maintains temperature and airflow automatically.

  6. Completion: After 30min, stop airflow. Remove beakers, cool in a desiccator, and weigh to calculate gum content.

5. Safety Warnings

  • High Temperature: Avoid contact with the 160°C bath during operation—risk of burns.

  • Ventilation: Use in a fume hood or well-ventilated area to prevent vapor accumulation.

  • No LPG: Do not test liquefied petroleum gas—risk of overpressure.

  • Disconnect Power: Unplug before cleaning, maintenance, or moving the unit.

  • Grounding: Ensure proper grounding to prevent electric shock.

6. Maintenance

  • Daily: Clean beakers and jets after use; check air filters for contamination.

  • Weekly: Verify temperature calibration with a precision thermometer; adjust if needed.

  • Monthly: Drain and clean the oil-water separator; inspect hoses for leaks.

  • Storage: Keep in a dry, dust-free environment; cover to prevent contamination.
