Principle

SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC LUB12 contains the main power contact set of the motor starter. When the paired control unit receives the start command, it energizes the built-in coil of the base unit, the main contacts close and supply power to the motor. When stop command or fault trip signal arrives, the coil de-energizes and the main contacts open to cut off the motor power. SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC LUB12 undertakes the power switching action, while the matched control unit undertakes protection logic and command processing. Together they form a complete motor control and protection unit.
