Overview

The SIEMENS 3RT1044-1BM40 is a 3-pole power contactor of the Siemens SIRIUS 3RT10 series, size S3. The string G/180717 is the factory serial number for traceability, not part of the order code. It is rated AC-3 65 A / 30 kW at 400 V, with DC220V coil, screw terminals and no built-in auxiliary contacts. It is used for switching three-phase motors and resistive loads in MCC cabinets, automation skids and process control systems. This legacy model is discontinued and only supplied as spare replacement.

Principle

The SIEMENS 3RT1044-1BM40 closes the main contacts when the DC coil is energized, supplying power to the motor or load. When coil power is removed, the return spring opens the main contacts to cut off the load circuit. It can cooperate with thermal overload relays to implement motor overload protection.
