Overview

Eaton CKDPV4300W is a PVGard CKD series DC molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) designed for photovoltaic DC combiner box and battery energy storage circuits. This Eaton breaker is K-frame, 4-pole, 300 A rated, 1000 V DC rated voltage, fixed thermal-magnetic trip type, 100% rated for continuous DC duty. CKDPV4300W is widely used for solar array main DC feeder protection, energy storage cabinet DC loop protection, for new photovoltaic station construction and spare‑part replacement of PVGard DC breakers.

Features

Eaton CKDPV4300W adopts DC optimized arc extinguishing system for safe breaking of DC fault current without current zero crossing. Principle

Eaton CKDPV4300W uses bimetallic thermal element to respond to long-time overload current and trigger delayed trip. Magnetic trip coil responds to large short-circuit fault current and triggers instantaneous trip. The special DC arc chute elongates, cools and deionizes DC arc rapidly when contacts separate to isolate the DC fault circuit. Auxiliary contacts synchronously output breaker status signals to PLC or combiner box monitoring unit.
