Description

GE Fanuc IC698CRE020-GG

The IC698CRE020-GG is a 700MHz hot standby redundant CPU processor for GE PACSystems RX7i VME rack PLC, the suffix GG stands for hardware revision grade. This IC698CRE020 adopts Intel Pentium III processor, built for critical process control that requires bumpless redundancy switching. It works paired with IC698RMX016 memory exchange module to realize active/backup hot standby synchronization.

This IC698CRE020-GG carries dual 10/100Mbps Ethernet ports, RS232 serial port and internal VME64 bus interface. It supports IEC 61131-3 standard programming languages plus C language execution. It provides built-in fault diagnosis, ECC memory error checking, event log and system status monitoring. Configuration and download are completed via Proficy Machine Edition software. The conformal coated PCB version is available for cabinet environments with dust and humidity.

The IC698CRE020-GG is widely used in power plants, oil & gas, chemical and turbine auxiliary control systems. The RX7i series is discontinued by Emerson. Most available IC698CRE020-GG units are tested surplus spare parts for rack overhaul and emergency CPU replacement. Revision matching is important during spare swapping to avoid firmware and compatibility issues.
