MTL MTL5521 INTRINSIC SAFETY BARRIER SOLENOID DRIVER

MTL5521 is a loop-powered intrinsically safe solenoid driver / safety barrier under Eaton MTL 5500 series for hazardous area process control systems. This IS barrier provides safe power and drive signals to energize certified solenoid valves, alarm indicators and low power field devices located in Zone 0 IIC hazardous locations. The hazardous area control system relies on this unit to limit voltage, current and energy passing into explosive classified zones to prevent ignition risk. The MTL5521 works on 20~38V DC loop supply, featuring yellow status LED for working state visual check and built-in energy limiting circuit. This MTL barrier is widely used for petrochemical, oil & gas and marine process control cabinet maintenance and spare replacement.

The IS barrier continuously restricts maximum output energy once over-current or over-voltage condition occurs.
