Description
VARCO BJ DRILLING SYSTEMS 92960 SPEED/TORQUE INTERFACE II PCB CARD, ASSY.92963
VARCO BJ 92960 is rack plug-in marine top drive speed and torque interface printed circuit board, designed for NOV Varco BJ offshore drilling top drive control system, widely fitted onboard offshore drilling vessels, heavy-lift rig platforms and marine drill ships for drill string rotary speed feedback acquisition, torque signal conditioning and top-drive motor control command exchange. This marine interface PCB receives analogue and pulse signals from top-drive rotary encoders and torque transducers, scales and processes speed & torque data, communicates processed operating values back to the main top drive controller for drilling torque limiting and rotary speed closed-loop supervision.
The marine speed/torque interface PCB integrates multi-channel analogue signal evaluation circuits, pulse counting logic, surge protection circuit, watchdog monitoring and front panel status LED indicators, supports signal range calibration, fault memory logging and torque / oversafety emergency interlock function complying with offshore drilling equipment safety specifications. Its drilling torque-speed & hardware diagnostics function continuously monitors 24V DC power supply, field transducer wiring and backplane bus integrity, detects pulse signal dropout, analogue drift and hardware component failure, transmits interface card fault alerts and top drive operating status to vessel AMS alarm console. The drilling torque-speed & hardware diagnostics ensures safe drill-string rotary control and torque limiting protection for Varco BJ marine top drive drilling system. It enables reliable marine 92960 speed/torque interface PCB operation under heavy vessel vibration, oil mist and salt mist marine environments.
This Varco BJ 92960 interface PCB delivers stable marine top-drive signal conditioning performance plugged into the drilling control rack. The drilling torque-speed & hardware diagnostics adopts marine-grade PCB substrate with EMC shielding against electromagnetic interference and mechanical shock. Marine drilling technicians rely on marine 92960 PCB operation to test pulse speed capture, verify torque signal scaling and inspect backplane communication during routine maintenance. It adopts standard rack edge gold-finger plug-in connector design for straightforward spare replacement and minimal marine top drive drilling control system downtime. Internal circuit boards use conformal coating to protect electronic components against salt mist, condensation, oil vapour and temperature fluctuation. It works cooperatively with Varco top drive main controller, rotary encoder and torque transducer, and ship integrated alarm monitoring system. It is widely used as top drive control spare hardware for NOV Varco marine vessel offshore drilling multi-axis top drive automation control system maintenance and retrofit projects.
