Description
KONGSBERG MARITIME RAI-16 Remote Analog Input Module
KONGSBERG MARITIME RAI-16 is a 16-channel remote analog input module for K-Chief marine distributed automation systems. This remote analog input module collects analog signals from pressure, temperature, level and flow transmitters onboard vessels. The remote analog input module converts raw field analog signals to digital data and transmits via CAN bus network. The remote analog input module supports flexible channel scaling and time-stamped data recording for marine monitoring.
Analog signal acquisition is the core function of KONGSBERG MARITIME RAI-16. Analog signal acquisition receives 4-20mA, voltage and RTD resistance sensor signals continuously. Reliable Analog signal acquisition delivers high precision measurement for engine room and cargo tank parameters. Configurable Analog signal acquisition supports multi-type field instruments for ship process monitoring tasks.
This unit provides solid onboard self-diagnosis for marine automation network operation. onboard self-diagnosis detects sensor faults, wiring failures and communication anomalies automatically. Robust onboard self-diagnosis triggers local LED alarm and sends fault message to ship central HMI. Complete onboard self-diagnosis simplifies maintenance and speeds up on-site fault troubleshooting.
KONGSBERG MARITIME RAI-16 runs on 24V DC power supply and features galvanic isolation for each input channel. It adopts pluggable terminal connectors and marine conformal coated PCB to resist salt mist and humidity. Designed to be installed in engine room cabinets, meeting marine classification standards. Widely used in cargo ships, tankers and offshore platforms for main engine monitoring, ballast tank level measurement and auxiliary machinery supervision. It is a vital distributed I/O spare component for Kongsberg K-Chief marine automation systems.
